Welcome Marty Bird to this month's News from Wild Birds Unlimited!

Share the Joy!
We are touched each year by the many customers who visit our store because they want to share their passion for nature and birds with their family and friends. They know that the gift of nature is a present that continues to bring joy to the recipient long after the luster of other gifts has faded.

The joy of the Holidays is not just about gifts, but also the family traditions and activities that make these times so special. One such activity is to decorate a holiday tree for the birds.

All you need to get started are a few common things from around the house such as string, peanut butter, birdseed and a few bagels or pinecones. Be sure to ask us for our free brochure on how to decorate a tree for the birds.

For your convenience, we also have a wide selection of pre-made edible seed ornaments and wreaths for decorating a tree in your yard. Once you place the edible ornaments on your tree, it will soon be filled not only with the treats, but also by natures' living ornaments . . . the birds themselves.

To help with your Holiday shopping, we have beautifully pre-wrapped many of our favorite gifts and products to make it easier to share your joy for birds and nature with the ones you love. We wish you a joyful Holiday Season!

Don't Forget the Birds at Christmas
Our exclusive Christmas Cake™ suet offers all the goodies the birds wish for in one neat little snack cake! Like all our suets, Christmas Cake suet is rendered to eliminate impurities. It contains suet, peanuts, almonds and cranberries, making it a high calorie energy source. This suet is attractive to woodpeckers, chickadees, titmice, nuthatches and more. We also offer a variety of suet feeders, even in red and green.

Your whole family will enjoy making treats for the birds this holiday season. Stuff some pine cones with suet, add a ribbon and decorate a tree in your yard. The birds will flock to enjoy your offerings and you will be treated to the beauty of having a "living" holiday tree.

Dark-eyed Juncos prefer to roost in evergreens at night but will also use tall grasses and brush piles. They return to the same roost location repeatedly and will share it with other flock mates, but they do not huddle together. Learn more about the Dark-eyed Junco.
