Welcome to this month's News from Wild Birds Unlimited!

Create a Winter Refuge
Now is the time to create a backyard birdfeeding station for the birds and for you! Many of the birds are determining their winter territories right now, and the availability of birdfeeders can influence their selection.

A complete birdfeeding station will attract a greater variety of birds. Every species of bird has its' own feeding preference. Accommodating all these different preferences is no longer hard to accomplish. Our patented Advanced Pole System® (APS) is designed to hold a variety of different birdfeeders, and we have found that hanging up to eight feeders on a single set-up works very well. We also have many solutions for mounting feeders on decks using the APS.  Learn more . . .

Would Woodpeckers Visit This Feeder?
You bet! If you enjoy watching woodpeckers, hang a Wild Birds Unlimited Double Tail Prop Suet Feeder in your yard, and get ready to count the varieties that visit. This specially-designed feeder has a wooden paddle that offers support - like a tree - for the woodpecker while it feeds. Even the Pileated Woodpecker will find this feeder fits its huge frame! And you'll delight in watching them feed at the suet. This feeder holds two suet cakes, so you don't have to fill it so often!

Attracting nature to your backyard is fun and rewarding for the entire family. All it takes is the right combination of food, birdfeeder, location and advice. Soon, you'll attract one of nature's greatest and most colorful casts of characters - wild birds.

Song Sparrows are found in every state of the Union and across most of Canada. They are the most common and widespread sparrow native to North America. Learn more about Song Sparrows.
